Anime character that I'd most like to be like - Probably Himura Kenshin (He's very strong, physically & emotionally, and he’s very good tempered)

Anime character(s) that I *am* most like - Probably Mizuno Ami (Sailor Mercury), Lina Inverse (some of my RL friends call me Dra Mata ^^;;), and Filia ul Copt (to an extent)

Things I've wanted because of anime -

The ability to manipulate ki; strange colored hair; a gravity-defying hairstyle; the ability to cast spells ("Dragon Slave!!"); a super powerful pocket computer (Like Sailor Mercury has ^..^); a destined soul mate (Yeah, I'm a romantic, as if you couldn't tell); my own image song/BGM; a strange, but effective weapon; a staff; a sword; a Gundam; a super kawaii little animal to follow me around (like a cabbit!); a 3 ft. braid; Saiya-jin armor; a tail; a transformation sequence; strangely colored eyes (especially light purple!); a sakaba-tou (reverse-blade sword); long, red hair; beautifully drawn eyes; a mace; a large, red, squeaky hammer; Megumi Hayashibara as my seiyuu; furry fox ears & tail; mallet space; the ability to go SD at will; plushies of Kenshin & Sano ^.^; a horde of bishounen (Yeah, so I’m a fangirl, as if you couldn’t tell ^^;;); a katana; a wire like Youji has; Omi's weapon, termed by fans as 'genki darts of death' ^_^

Things that have happened due to my love of anime -

I now sing loudly (and probably off-key =P) to every anime/JPOP song I know (much to the annoyance of my family); I learned that being bilingual (or even partially so) can be very fun; I learned that drawn guys can be much better looking than real ones; I often find myself copying speech patterns from anime characters (as in, speech patterns that I should not necessarily use. ^^)...examples include using 'ore-sama' for my personal pronoun (Yami no Bakura's fault) and using 'de gozaru' instead of 'desu' (Himura Kenshin's fault)...luckily, I haven't started doing this in my Japanese class yet. ^^;;

Personal Weirdness –

I am possibly the only otaku who wasn’t thrilled by Akira or Ghost in the Shell

Thoughts on Yaoi/Yuri

Heh...I'm a total yaoi fangirl.  I started to get into it with the GW pairings, but getting my hands on the Gravitation and FAKE manga clinched it. ^^  I also like yuri, though I don't have as many favorite yuri couples as I do yaoi ones. ^^;;
